Send us an enquiry through the contact form, call +254-799 900 664 or email info@shadasafaris.com with your dates, group size and budget. We reply with a day-by-day itinerary and a quote in Kenya shillings, and confirm your booking once you accept it.
Package prices are in Kenya shillings (KSh) per person sharing a room, for Kenya residents, and you can switch the whole site to US dollars with the KSh/USD toggle at the top (converted at an indicative rate). Solo travellers pay a single supplement, and non-resident rates (park fees and some lodges cost more) are quoted separately in KSh or US dollars on request.
Typical packages include accommodation, meals as stated (full board on safari, half board or all inclusive on the coast), park or reserve fees, a safari vehicle with a driver-guide and the transfers listed in your itinerary. Drinks, tips, flights and personal items are normally extra. Your quote lists exactly what is and is not covered.
Yes. Low (green) season is typically April to June and November, while July to October (Great Migration), December and Easter are peak and cost more. The prices shown are low-season starting prices, so send us your dates for an exact quote.
Yes. Every trip can be adjusted for dates, budget, accommodation level and activities. We also plan family holidays, honeymoons, birthdays, babymoons and corporate retreats for groups of any size.
Travel Tips for Kenya
Wildlife viewing is excellent in the dry seasons, June to October and January to February. The Great Migration reaches the Maasai Mara from about July to October. The coast is pleasant most of the year, with heavier rain from April to June.
Most international visitors need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before arriving in Kenya, while citizens of East African Community countries are exempt. Rules change, so confirm on the official Kenya eTA website before you travel. Kenyan citizens do not need one.
Speak to your doctor or a travel clinic about malaria prevention, routine vaccinations and, if you are arriving from a yellow-fever risk country, a yellow fever certificate. Carry insect repellent and any personal medication.
Light layers in neutral colours, a warm jacket for early-morning game drives, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable closed shoes, binoculars and a camera. For the coast, add swimwear and light cotton clothing.
Tipping is customary but optional. Your driver-guide, camp staff and lodge staff all appreciate it, and we will suggest a sensible amount for your trip when you book.
